The Problem
Ontario's Local Grocery Market Had No Digital Delivery Option
Go Direct identified a gap in Ontario's local grocery delivery market — large platforms like Instacart served national chains, but local grocery stores had no reliable digital ordering channel. Customers who wanted to shop local had no convenient app to do it with.
The client needed a full grocery commerce platform — product catalogue, ordering, payment, delivery tracking — plus a mobile app on both iOS and Android to reach customers where they spend their time. The entire platform had to work seamlessly for both the end customer and the operations team managing inventory and fulfilling orders.
